Pellet Smoked Burger Recipe

Before smoking your burger, you will want to season it properly. When it comes to flavoring a burger, everyone has different tastes but here is a recipe you may want to try.

  • 2 tbsp. paprika
  • 2 tbsp. smoked paprika
  • 4 tbsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • ½ tbsp. brown sugar
  • ½ tbsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tbsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin


  • Combine all ingredients and use 1 ½ tsp. of the mixture for every pound of meat.

Now that your burgers are properly seasoned, let’s do a quick rundown on how to cook the burger.

  • Add your preferred flavor of wood pellets to your smoker.
  • Preheat smoker to 425 – 450 degrees with the lid closed.
  • Add patties, cover smoker with lid and let sit 8-9 minutes.
  • Flip burgers and let grill for another 8-9 minutes until thermometer reads 160 degrees.
  • Add cheese during the last minute of grilling and let it melt.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings.
