Ingredients

  • 4 burgers (frozen)

Instructions

Preheat the Grill

  • Placing burgers on a cold grill is not really a good idea. They will start to stick on the grate once the heat is turned on. In addition to this, the frozen meat will also cook unevenly. This is why the grill needs to be preheated. The appropriate temperature to grill burgers is 325 degrees.
  • In case your grill doesn’t have the tools needed to measure temperature, you can do it manually. Just hold your hands three inches above the grate. If you can hold that position comfortably for 6-7 seconds, then the grill has reached the ideal temperature. Remember that you don’t want to heat it too much.

Separate the Frozen Burgers

  • Frozen burgers are normally separated with a layer of paper between them. This is designed to prevent the meat from sticking to each other. Before you start grilling, the paper separating the patties needs to be removed. You can use a kitchen knife or a metal spatula to do this.

  • In case you are having a hard time getting rid of the paper, let the frozen burger sit on the open air for a few minutes so that some of the ice melts. This should make your work easier.

Grilling Frozen Burgers

  • Place the patties on the grill and let them cook for a total of five minutes and flip them. The burgers should be flipped every 3-5 minutes until they are fully cooked in around 25 minutes. To be 100% sure, you can measure the internal temperature to see that it’s at 160 degrees.

  • Grilling will also cause flare-ups in some occasions. In case you don’t want your burgers to burn in the flame, move them to the side until the flare is out. You can also close the grill’s lid if there’s a flare up so you can put out the flame right away.
